Our Story

The story of Macks Signature Homes began long before the company was formally established. Growing up in Central Texas, founder Corey Macks spent summers working alongside his grandfather, a carpenter who instilled in him a deep appreciation for honest work and quality craftsmanship. His grandfather believed that every nail driven and every board laid was an opportunity to serve others well - lessons rooted in faith that shaped Corey's understanding of what meaningful work looks like.

Those early lessons about measuring twice and cutting once, about taking pride in your work, and about treating others the way you'd want to be treated became the foundation for everything that followed. Corey learned that true craftsmanship is about more than skill - it's about character.

After years of working in the construction industry - from framing houses to managing complex renovation projects - Corey recognized a gap in the market. Too often, homeowners felt disconnected from the building process, left in the dark about timelines, costs, and decisions. He envisioned a different approach: one where clients are true partners in the process, where communication is constant and transparent, and where the finished home exceeds expectations because it was built with genuine care.

In 2015, Macks Signature Homes officially opened its doors. The “signature” in our name represents more than just our work - it represents our promise. Every home we build carries our signature commitment to integrity, quality, and craftsmanship. We sign our name to our work because we stand behind it completely.

Today, our team has grown, but our values remain the same. We've had the privilege of building dream homes for families throughout Smithville, Bastrop, and the greater Central Texas area. Each project teaches us something new and strengthens our commitment to excellence.
